View the LATEST released photos from the James Webb Telescope on 7/12/2022
Today I witnessed an epochal moment for humankind. The James Webb Space Telescope (the most powerful space telescope ever launched) released its anticipated full-spectrum photographs to the inhabitants of Earth. Images that go beyond any previous imagination or aesthetic with their luminous detail. It’s like humans just got an ocular upgrade! Get ready, because these are just some of the 1st images Webb has released and were taken only THIS WEEK. Consider your eye “scales” removed.
Webb is currently at its observing spot, Lagrange point 2 (L2), nearly 1 million miles (1.6 million km) away from Earth.
